Taking place on Tuesday 3 November 2026 from 2.30pm, the event will give prospective families the chance to explore our school, meet staff and learn more about the exciting opportunities available in our Reception class.

The afternoon will begin with a guided school tour at 2.30pm. Visitors will then enjoy a special presentation created by our year 6 learners, who will share their experiences and explain what makes Mevagissey Primary School unique.

Families will also have the opportunity to meet other parents and carers over tea and cake before chatting with the school’s EYFS Lead and exploring the Reception classroom.

Children are encouraged to attend and can spend time discovering the learning environment for themselves.

The open afternoon offers a fantastic opportunity for families to gain an insight into daily life at Mevagissey Primary School and learn more about our school’s values of Magic, Empathy, Voice and Aspiration.

Programme

• 2.30pm - 2.50pm: School tour (no booking required)
• 2.50pm: Presentation from Year 6 pupils
• Following the presentation: Tea and cake with an opportunity to meet other parents
• 3.30pm: Meet the EYFS Lead and explore the Reception classroom
